No. Canoxidin® is made from plant extracts such as phytate and theobromine (cocoa extract), and natural components such as L-methionine (a natural amino acid), and is recommended by European Urology Guidelines. It is suitable for vegans, people with celiac disease (gluten-free), lactose intolerance, and diabetes, as it contains no sugar. No side effects have been reported, and no interactions with medications have been observed.
Can I take it together with other medications?
Yes, no drug interactions have been observed, and it can generally be taken alongside the analgesic treatment recommended by the urologist for pain after stone surgery.
Can I split the tablets?
Yes, preferably in juice, water, or yogurt. Open the capsule and disperse its contents into the liquid.
How long can I take it for?
You can take it for as long as you are a carrier of a catheter, stent, urostomy bag, or nephrostomy tubes, indefinitely if needed.
Should I keep taking Canoxidin® after my catheter or stent has been removed?
No, you should take Canoxidin® only while you have a urological device in place. Once the device is removed, it is not necessary to continue taking Canoxidin®. If you have a permanent device, you can safely take it long term.
