Dr. José Medina-Polo works as the head of the Functional Urology Unit and urologist at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre HM Belén & ROC Clinic in Madrid, Spain.
He completed a master's degree in female functional urology and urodynamics at the University of Salamanca and the Spanish Association of Urology, and received a Extraordinary Doctorade Award in the Complutense University in Madrid with a CUM LAUDE qualification in his doctoral thesis on "Three-year prospective study of infections in a urology service: risk factors, microbiological evaluation, antibiotic resistance and temporal evolution."
He has over 12 years of specialized professional experience in the field of Female Functional Urology and has been a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU).
He is a passionate urologist who is interested in research and scientific dissemination and has participated in more than 5 clinical trials that led to interesting and scientifically valuable publications. He is a Board Member of the European Association of Urology (EAU) in the Section of Infections of Urology (ESIU).
